Had this freezer a week now and so far it's great. Maytag has been good to me as I currently have a Maytag dishwasher I got almost in 2005 and only one minor hiccup, Temp sensor) in that time.

The 3rd time is the charm. I had the first one delivered and it did not cool. It was replaced by another one that ran for about two and a half weeks and the compressor blew. It actually blew hot air and ruined about 200 lb. of meat. The company once again brought me another one and thankfully it is running well. I have never had trouble with Maytag products before and am a loyal Maytag user. I assume that it was just a bad batch of compressors. I am very happy at this point with my freezer and have no complaints with it.

I purchased this upright freezer 3 weeks ago. I love the shelves on the door and how it is so quiet compared to my 50 year old one that went out. I hope it lasts as long! I love having a 10 year warranty on the compressor too!

Got it set up and going very easily. Filled it up with fresh cider that afternoon. All was frozen solid by morning. A basket for the bottom of the freezer would have been nicer than a sloped floor with a wall in front to keep items in.

Works perfect, very happy. I am especially happy with the 10 year warranty. Other comparable competitor products only have a 1 year warranty. I expect many problem free years of service from this freezer. An added bonus is that the freezer was made in the USA. Great job.

While shopping for a larger upright freezer I did allot of comparisons for models and found this to be best for overall value and features such as the frost free, options and l.e.d. lighting with is by far bettet than standard lighting. The cost was actually lower than other manufacturers that offered less features. I have only had it a couple of weeks, but know with the,Maytag brand that I will enjoy it for years to come.
