I bought this refrigerator after doing much research. Initially I was very happy with the product until I started noticing that the paint was chipping off at the door seams. I have owned refrigerators all my life some lasted 22 years and have never experienced this before. This refrigerator is only 4 years old. I called Whirlpool and they sent me a paint
bottle to cover it but this wears off very quickly. I won't buy or recommend this or any other whirlpool product.

Bought this to replace a 25 year old Whirlpool that was failing. Ordered it while on sale, but had to wait almost 4 weeks to get it. Very happy with new refrigerator, love the bright LED light in the freezer. Light in the refrigerator is ok, but could be brighter. Refrigerator works fine, but recommended settings do not cool the refrigerator below 40 degrees. Had to lower setting to get below 40. Never been a fan of gallon milk jugs in the door bins, but use that feature now due to having to stoop over to get milk off of top shelf since the bins in the door result in the refrigerator shelves being further back. The ice maker bin was smaller than our previous one, so we swapped the bins out to keep the larger one. I hope this refrigerator lasts 25 years like my old Whirlpool!

I bought this refrigerator in April and it's been a nightmare ever since! Both the frig & freezer doors were not made properly so they do not form a suction when closed, which allows warm air inside and it constantly runs trying to cool everything. The freezer leaked into the frig making pools of water on the trays! I was told that 6 other people who had purchased this where I did, had the same exact problems with this model. The repair tech said it was so bad, he thought for sure they discontinued the model ! If you wanna waste money, then buy this fridge!

I bought this to replace an older Whirlpool model. This is the only refrigerator with this capacity to fit in the space. It is an updated look on the outside. The door holds much more on the inside. It has a sleek look and works very quietly.

I purchased this refrigerator in 2016. With that said, I've had it serviced three times for the same problem. Ice builds up in the freezer, tepmperature in the refrigerator section climbs to 45 degrees and the unit makes a loud knocking noise in between cycles. It is now happening again after being repaired less than 5 months ago. I have an extended warranty that expires in 6 months but I will not be calling for service again!
It is nearly a two week long process from the time you whirlpool, a technician comes to diagnose the problem, hopefully orders the right part and then installs it. The fact that all your food spoils is bad enough but having to wait for refrigerator repairs and live out of coolers is even worse! I am ordering a new refrigerator and it won't be a Whirlpool! This company has lost a loyal customer forever. If I could give it zero stars I would!

Works fine for us, freezer on top, fridge on the bottom. Compressor is not super quiet, sometimes sounds like a little jet engine starting up or winding down, but not terrible.

I have been using my new refrigerator about a month now and I love the layout options of the shelves, drawers and door storage. The outside surface is smooth and shiny, my other fridges had the textured surface and it was hard to keep it looking nice especially with all the grandkids. But my absolute favorite feature is the light in the freezer, that makes it so much nicer when your looking for something.

We've had this fridge about a month now & still not use to the noise & how far it sticks out into the kitchen. Plastic strip under door creeks every time we open the door. Make loud cracking noise & we don't have an ice maker. When it starts up the sound is like its winding up going faster & faster, then when it shuts off it sounds like it is slowing down & gradually comes to a stop & is then off. Very distracting at times.

I like the spaciousness of the refrigerator and freezer, but have been very disappointed in its performance. The freezer has been frosting over around the top of the door. We called Whirlpool, and they have had a repairman come over. He said it would need a new seal and ordered it. Hopefully that will fix it. It has developed a horrible squeak every time I opened or closed the refrigerator door. Today my husband got down on the floor and discovered it was one of the front wheels. He pulled it out and tried to spray a little lubricant on it. It is not squeaking now. Where the protective plastic was removed from the door when it was delivered there are little shreds of plastic sticking out that cannot be removed with fingers. It makes more noise than my old Whirlpool that is out in the garage ever did. This is not the quality I expected from Whirlpool, but hopefully the issues can be resolved. This may just be a sign of the times, and perhaps no other brand is better.

The refrigerator section is very roomy. I like the sliding drawer feature.The freezer shelves on the door should have a closed bottom so that nothing falls into the gap between the shelf and the door.

It fit in the space we had perfectly with being ample, but not overly large. We love the light in the freezer. One thing we wish we could add would be the ability to adjust the shelving as half shelves, so we could utilize the space on the right and left more to our individual needs. Freezes ice/frozen foods very quickly. Wish new ice trays had been included. Am wondering why many companies do not do this anymore?

The Whirlpool wins the award for quiet, as well as a door that holds more than our original refrigerator. There are so many advances, with the light in the freezer being the most significant, that just make it so easy to never lose sight of anything in the refrigerator. We had our last whirlpool for over 18 years, and the recent purchase has made us that much more convinced that we we always be a whirlpool customer.
